So my girlfriend is from Spain. One of the things that makes our relationship different from most others is the language barrier. Everyday is interesting and there is always something she will say out of nowhere that catches me off guard. She has learned most of her vocabulary from reading and not from speaking english for a long time, so at times she attempts to pronounce the words she has I'm sure read, and not heard. Her english is getting very good, but sometimes she unintentially says things that are just hilarious. For example, the other day she said that she is "afraid of driving sometimes because she doesn't want to end up in the middle of now-here". I was casually listening and when she said that, i just looked at her with a confused look on my face. All i could say was "What?!?". After i realized what she was trying to say, i just about cried laughing...
